Great Outdoor beaver meeting

IMPORTANT UPDATES

Greetings Everybody!!

The Town of Beaver and the surrounding areas in Beaver County have seen Fire and Flood in the last Month or so. And, as you may have seen, there has been some damage to the Town and its infrastructure.

So, we are setting aside this spot as the location we want you to check periodically for Important Updates and New Campvention News.

For Instance:

The Great Outdoor Beaver Meeting WILL take place Labor Day Weekend

And, Additionally:

Utah State Scenic Highway 153 is CLOSED just East of Town.

This means that the Mountain is CLOSED, as well.

Therefore, there will be NO FISHING on the Mountain.

And, there will be NO CAMPING at The Ponderosa on the Mountain.

The Beaver Canyon Campground and Maria's Restaurant are OPEN and sustained NO Damage. Also, Canyon Breeze Racetrack, which has Hosted our Event Meetings for 30 Years remains OPEN and has NO Damage.

HOW THE GREAT OUTDOOR BEAVER MEETING BEGAN:

Some FIFTY Years Ago, a small group of Alcoholics, pooling their resources, made a pre-arranged overnight stop in a small Utah town

on their way to the 1975 International Convention in Denver, Colorado. They found the people in town so accommodating and friendly and

the natural beauty and atmosphere of the surrounding area so inviting, they decided to return the following year to camp and

Share with one another over the Labor Day Weekend. This tradition has continued over the years and the magic of

that first overnight stop is still happening every Labor Day Weekend in Beautiful BEAVER, UTAH!!
